Pinot Grigio scores win Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Pinot Grigio overtook P J's Superego in the stretch and drew off to win by three lengths in the $60,000 Open Mind Handicap at Monmouth Park on Sunday.
Trained by J. Willard Thompson and ridden by Gabriel Saez, the 5-year-old mare ran the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:11 1-5 and returned $7.40, $4.20 and $2.40. It was the fifth win in 26 career starts for Pinot Grigio, who has earned $215,608 overall.
P J's Superego paid $6 and $3, while betting favorite World Gone Wright was four lengths back in third and returned $2.20 to show.
