TEMPE, Ariz. -- Dom Dwyer, Long Tan and Kevin Molino recorded goals for Orlando City SC in the Lions’ come-from-behind 3-1 win over Phoenix FC on Sunday night in USL Pro action at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.

Phoenix FC took the early lead when Aaron King took advantage of a giveaway and crossed to teammate Diego Faria for the one-touch goal in the 16th minute. The Wolves’ lead lasted less than 20 minutes, however, as Dwyer found the back of the net for Orlando City to even things up.

After a 45th-minute chance by Phoenix FC's Anthony Obodai that missed over the net, the two teams went into the half tied at 1.

Scott Morrison had an early second-half chance for the Wolves, but the Lions made effective use of their substitutions later in the half and their speed took over. Long Tan, formerly with the Vancouver Whitecaps of MLS, scored in the 67th minute to make it 2-1. Tan came on in the 61st minute and finished with a goal and assist.

A foul later against Travis Bowen in the box afforded a penalty try for Dwyer later in the half, but Phoenix FC’s Andrew Weber stopped the shot to send the crowd of 2,329 into a frenzy.

Kevin Molino put the finishing touches on the victory for the visitors with his 86th-minute goal.

The match marked the debut of Phoenix FC strike Darren Mackie, a former Scottish Premier League star who was the first player to sign with the Wolves.

Phoenix FC dropped to 1-2-0 on the season with the loss, while Orlando City earned a win in its regular-season opener. The Wolves next host the Los Angeles Blues on
April 14.
