Peterson named NFC Player of the Week

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Peterson rushed for 153 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown Sunday against Arizona. The sixth year back out of Oklahoma is now tied with Robert Smith for most 100 yard games in franchise history with 29.

This is the sixth time Peterson has won player of the week in the NFC.
