The starting goaltender on the Penn State men's lacrosse team was one of two men killed early Friday in a car accident in Boston.

Connor Darcey, 21, was one of two men pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, Boston-area media reported. Boston police said they found the car overturned at about 3 a.m., with an unidentified 27-year-old male also dead at the scene. A third man was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Darcey, a Wellesley, Mass., native, recently completed his sophomore year. He was named to the Big Ten all-tournament team last month and finished his first season as the starter with a .553 save percentage for the Nittany Lions.

Penn State officials confirmed Darcey's death.
