In the second report of National League All-Star voting, released Tuesday, Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt had moved up to second place in balloting and narrowed the gap on leader Adrian Gonzalez of the Dodgers.

Goldschmidt, who was third in the initial returns of a week ago, now has 1,067,482 votes, compared with 1,380,696 for Gonzalez. Chicago's Anthony Rizzo, who had been second, has falled back to third with 834,554.

Nowhere does Gonzalez's name appear higher in the rankings.
