DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Josh Parker scored 18 points and Chris Wright had 15 to lead Dayton to an 80-60 win over Florida A&M on Wednesday night.

The Flyers (5-0) are off to their best start since 2008-09 when they were 8-0 to begin the season.

The game was part of the Global Sports Main Event, which concludes Saturday with Dayton facing undefeated Cincinnati.

The Rattlers (2-3), who are winless on the road this season, fell behind for good 3:03 into the game.

Parker, a transfer from Drake, had his highest point total in a Flyers uniform, going 6 for 12 from the floor and 4 for 9 from 3-point range. He scored 25 as a Drake sophomore.

Dayton held Florida A&M's top weapon, Amin Stevens, scoreless. He came in averaging 13.5 points per game, but played 15 minutes without taking a shot.

Yannick Crowder scored 15 points on 7-for-12 shooting for the Rattlers and Rasheem Jenkins had 14.
