Panthers sign prospect Steven Hodges to entry-level deal

The Florida Panthers signed prospect Steven Hodges to an entry-level contract, the team announced Sunday.
Hodges, who missed the first two months of the season recovering from a knee injury, registered 21 goals and 26 assists and a plus-20 rating in 52 games with the Victorial Royals (WHL) last season.
Florida's third-round pick (84th overall) in 2012, Hodges also posted a team-high 10 points (four goals, six assists) in nine postseason games.
"We are happy to have reached a contract agreement with Steven," Panthers GM Dale Tallonn said. "He is another one of our young prospects who will have the opportunity to grow and develop within our organization."
The two-way center, who boasts good skating and passing ability, wrapped up his junior hockey career with 75 goals, 82 assists in 157 games with Chilliwack and Victoria.
