Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson has knee surgery recently and may miss the rest of the team's voluntary workouts and minicamps.
The team announced that the surgery was necessary to relieve swelling in Johnson's right knee.
Johnson posted to his Twitter account that, "My surgery went good! Thanks to everyone for your blessing," according to the Charlotte Observer.
Johnson signed a $72 million contact with the Panthers last year.
