The Florida Panthers and defenseman Colby Robak agreed to a two-year deal, general manager Dale Tallon announced Monday.
Robak, a 23-year-old who was a second-round pick in the 2008 draft, has played in parts of the past two seasons for the Panthers: three games in 2011-12 and 16 in 2012-13. He got his first career NHL point when he registered an assist in Florida's victory against Winnepeg on March 5.
The defenseman played in 63 games with the San Antonio Rampage -- the AHL affiliate of the Panthers -- last season, recording five goals and 23 points.
