Panthers agree to 2-year deal with RW Bobby Butler

Right winger Bobby Butler, who was acquired from Nashville 10 days ago, has a new deal with the Panthers, general manager Dale Tallon announced Monday.

Butler, a 26-year-old who has played parts of four NHL seasons with three teams, was traded to the Panthers from the Predators for defenseman TJ Brennan and was set to become an restricted free agent in July. The contract is for two years.

The team also announced a one-year deal with left winger Eric Selleck. Selleck, 25, appeared in two games for the Panthers in 2012-13, registering an assist and 17 penalty minutes.
