Pakistan names strong side for day-night tour match

CAIRNS, Australia (AP) Pakistan has named a near full-strength team for its day-night tour match against a Cricket Australia XI, the visitors' only warm-up match ahead of the three-test series against Australia starting in Brisbane on Dec. 15.
Pakistan won the toss Thursday and elected to bat first in the three-day game at Cazaly's Stadium against an inexperienced home side. It will be Pakistan's first exposure to the pink ball in Australian conditions.
Captain Misbah-ul-Haq is the only change to the team's top six from its second-test loss to New Zealand two weeks ago. He missed that match through suspension for slow over rates.
Legspinner Yasir Shah is out with a back injury. Left-arm orthodox sinner Mohammad Ahmed comes in for Shah, while paceman Rahat Ali replaces Imran Khan from the most recent test.
