Pakistan delays flight, seeks switch for WT20 match v India

ISLAMABAD (AP) Pakistan has delayed its departure for the World Twenty20 because it seeks a venue change for its group match against India over security concerns.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has asked the International Cricket Council to consider Kolkata or Mohali as alternate venues to Dharamsala for the March 19 match against the tournament host, The Associated Press was told on Wednesday by a PCB official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speak publicly on the subject.
Pakistan was scheduled to travel to Kolkata on Wednesday for its opening group match next Wednesday, but is awaiting the ICC's response.
A three-member Pakistan security delegation visited Dharamsala on Monday, prompting the call for a venue change. The PCB official said the security team was concerned about the safety of Pakistan players in the hill city in Himachal Pradesh state.
Pakistan sent its security team after Virbhadra Singh, chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, said last week it will be difficult for him to provide security for the India-Pakistan match.
