It's not the type of splashy free-agent move most teams in the NFL are making, but the Green Bay Packers have retained one of their own.
Robert Francois on Saturday signed a one-year deal to remain in Green Bay.
Francois is an inside linebacker, but he did not play a single snap on defense last season. His main role was on special teams, where he finished with nine tackles in 2012 (second-most on the team).
Francois, 27, has been with Green Bay since signing with its practice squad in December 2009.
