Packers' Rodgers returns to field after being carted off with calf injury

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Aaron Rodgers was carted to the locker room before halftime after injuring his left calf. But after missing one drive in the second half, Rodgers was back on the field.
After throwing a touchdown pass with less than three minutes remaining in the first half, Rodgers was down on the field for a couple minutes before being helped to the sideline with each of his arms around a member of the Green Bay Packers' training staff.
Rodgers' return was initially announced as questionable. Backup quarterback Matt Flynn took one snap before halftime and then led the Packers on to the field in the third quarter.
Flynn was sacked to force a three-and-out, but as that was happening Rodgers emerged from the tunnel in uniform.
Rodgers began throwing on the sideline and jumping around in an effort to get loose. When Green Bay's next drive began, Rodgers grabbed his helmet and jogged on to the field.
In Rodgers' first series of the second half, he led the Packers to a touchdown drive when he connected with Randall Cobb for a 13-yard score.
At the time of Rodgers being carted to the locker room, Green Bay was winning 14-0. When Rodgers came back, it was tied at 14.
Rodgers entered Sunday's game dealing with a left calf injury. He reinjured it against Detroit after avoiding pressure and stepping up in the pocket to make the touchdown throw. Rodgers was not touched on that play.
The winner of Sunday's game will be the NFC North champion. A Packers win would ensure them at least a first-round bye in the playoffs.
