GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers released offensive guard Joe Gibbs, two days after the team drafted two offensive linemen in the fourth round.
Gibbs signed with Green Bay's practice squad on Nov. 19, 2012 and spent the rest of the season in that group. At the conclusion of the season, the Packers signed Gibbs to a contract, along with their other seven practice-squad players.
Gibbs, at 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, began his NFL career in 2010 with the St. Louis Rams after going undrafted that year.
