GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Chris Banjo received the birthday present that he was hoping for Wednesday, re-signing with the Green Bay Packers.
The now-24-year-old safety was an exclusive-rights free agent this offseason.
Banjo joined the Packers four days into the 2013 training camp. Playing a position at which Green Bay lacked talent and depth, Banjo performed well enough on defense and on special teams throughout training camp to make the active roster as an undrafted first-year player.

Banjo finished his first season with the Packers by making 19 tackles and having two passes defensed.
Green Bay still has 19 free agents (17 unrestricted and two restricted) to make a decision on in the coming weeks and months.
