The Green Bay Packers on Saturday activated linebacker Frank Zombo from the reserve/physically unable to perform list.
Zombo, a 6-foot-3, 254-pound undrafted third-year pro out of Central Michigan, played in 18 games for the Packers in 2010-11. He made nine starts with Green Bay during that span, eight in 2010 when injuries piled up during the Packers' run to the Super Bowl, and one last year.
The linebacker had spent time earlier this season recovering from a deep hamstring injury, though he has practiced the past few weeks. In 2011, Zombo endured an array of injuries, including a fractured shoulder blade, a hamstring ailment and knee injuries. When healthy in 2010, he contributed four sacks.
