Owens leads Toledo to 55-16 win over E. Michigan

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Terrance Owens threw for 375 yards and three touchdowns to lead Toledo to a 55-16 rout of Eastern Michigan Saturday night.
Owens had thrown for 260 yards and two touchdowns by halftime as Toledo (6-3, 4-1 Mid-American) took a 38-10 lead into the locker room. Justin Olack was his favorite target as he had four catches for 110 yards and one touchdown.
The Rockets amassed 729 yards of total offense. Kareem Hunt, who recorded his third consecutive 100-yard game, rushed 20 times for 168 yards and two touchdowns.
Toledo scored on its first four possessions to lead 28-0 early in the second quarter. Eastern Michigan (1-8, 0-5) scored on Dylan Mulder's 41-yard field goal midway through the second quarter. Just over a minute later Hunt scored on a 39-yard dash to extend Toledo's lead to 35-3.
Brogan Roback threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns for Eastern Michigan.
