Even though it's just the third week of the season, it's starting to feel an awful lot like the 2007 season. You remember the 2007 season right, when LSU somehow managed to win the national title despite having two losses? It's almost impossible to put together a top ten this week and it's just September 13th. Most of the top teams haven't even started to play each other yet and the list of unbeatens is dwindling rapidly. Looks like this is going to be a wild season. Good luck, selection committee, we don't just have to pick two teams this year, we have to pick four.

So here we go with Outkick's top ten. Again, our top ten is based entirely on the games that have been played on the field. Nothing else matters. If your team isn't ranked highly enough, just wait. lots can change in a week. Just ask Georgia, who plummets from number one to outside our top ten. RUN THE BALL WITH GURLEY WHEN YOU HAVE A FIRST AND GOAL LATE IN THE GAME. Don't get cute, Mike Bobo.

1. Oregon

The Ducks have been the best team in college football through three weeks.

2. Baylor

I know Baylor hasn't played anyone on their schedule yet, but the only team that can beat them in the Big 12 is Oklahoma. Otherwise, I don't believe anyone stays within 14 of the Bears.

3. Texas A&M

How much more impressive does that win over South Carolina look now? I still have questions about the defense, but right now A&M is my top team in the SEC.

4. Oklahoma

The Sooners handled Tennessee, but I'm putting them on early upset alert next week at West Virginia. Look out.

5. Auburn

The Tigers play Kansas State on Thursday. Can Gus Malzahn cover for a 14th straight game? I'm betting the answer is yes.

6. LSU

Since going down 24-7 to Wisconsin, LSU has outscored its opponents 108-0.

7. Alabama

I don't think anyone is going to run on Alabama all year, but that secondary...

8. Florida State

Yes, FSU managed to get ranked in the Outkick top ten without even playing this week. That's what happens when USC and Virginia Tech both take really, really bad losses.

9. BYU

The only reason BYU is not in the top ten right now is because they aren't in a major conference. Given what BYU did to Texas, how in the world could I put UCLA above them?

10. Ole Miss

The Rebels are 3-0 and have beaten every opponent by 22 points or more. This might seem like a high ranking, but who else are you putting here? Notre Dame? UCLA? I actually have Mizzou now as the 11th best team on the Outkick top ten.
