Oklahoma offensive lineman Austin Woods' Twitter handle is @AwesomeWoods_50. On Wednesday, he tweeted out some awesome news.

"Just [got] the call from Dr. Selby. My cancer is in remission!!!"
Woods then received a deluge of congratulatory tweets in reply from teammates, friends and followers.

"Pumped for you bro! God is great!!!" former teammate James Winchester tweeted.
Woods later tweeted an apology for making a typo in his earlier announcement: "My fingers couldn't control their excitement!"

Woods, a junior from Rockwall, Texas, has been battling Hodgkins lymphoma this season while also playing football for the Sooners. He has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments while playing deep snapper and backing up on the offensive line.

He's managed to play and maintain his 6-foot-4, 293-pound frame. He finished his final chemotherapy treatment Oct. 2 and had been awaiting the latest test results.

The results match the Twitter hashtag that Woods, who wears No. 50, and his supporters have been using since he was diagnosed last spring: #BeatCancer50.
