Oswalt tosses 2 scoreless in minor start

ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) -- Roy Oswalt threw two scoreless innings in his first minor league start for the Texas Rangers.
Oswalt gave up three hits and a walk while pitching for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday night against Albuquerque, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 34-year-old Oswalt, who pitched 11 major league seasons with Houston and Philadelphia, agreed to a minor league deal with Texas on Tuesday. The three-time All-Star has said he hopes to be ready to join the Texas rotation after four minor league starts.
After Albuquerque loaded the bases in the first on two singles and a walk, Oswalt got a strikeout and an inning-ending double play grounder.
Oswalt had last pitched for Philadelphia in Game 4 of the NL division series last October.
