Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor underwent surgery on his right foot Friday afternoon, an OSU spokesperson confirmed Friday. After the surgery, Pryor posted on his Twitter account that the surgery was "successful," The Associated Press reported.
The surgery was designed to stabilize a ligament in the foot, according to the spokesperson. Pryor is not expected to miss any additional game time with the Buckeyes in 2011, aside from the five-game suspension he already is facing.
Pryor injured his right foot diving for a first down late in Tuesday
night's Sugar Bowl victory over Arkansas, and he had a pronounced limp
throughout the postgame celebrations. Pryor was seen after the game
being held up by teammates.
Pryor's performance in the Sugar Bowl earned him the game's MVP honors. He completed 14 of 25 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, while running for another 115 yards on 15 carries.
