Only a matter of time before Big D stands for Big Dez

If you want an example of how Dez Bryant is rapidly approaching greatness, look no further than a catch that never happened.
On 2nd-and-7, with about nine minutes left in the Cowboys' 33-20 win over win the Giants, Bryant took off on a go route matched up against Giants corner Terrell Thomas in man coverage. Thomas started the play several yards off of the rookie but Bryant gradually made up ground before getting a step behind the third-year veteran roughly twenty yards up field.
Then, he did it. In one fluid motion, Bryant turned forty-five degrees, then sprung into the air and rotated his body back toward the line of scrimmage just before snatching Jon Kitna's pass a full foot over a leaping Thomas before plummeting back to the turf for a 48-yard gain.
Thomas, it should be noted, is no short corner at 6'0'' and no slouch in coverage either as part of a very dependable troika of Giant corners. The play didn
