DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) Om led all the way to win the $250,000 Del Mar Derby for 3-year-olds by 2 1/4 lengths Sunday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Gary Stevens, Om ran 1 1/8 miles on the turf in 1:47.79 and paid $15, $7.20 and $3.20.
Royal Albert Hall returned $20.20 and $4.40 at 30-1 odds, while 1-5 favorite Prospect Park was another 2 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $2.10 to show in the Grade 2 race.
The victory, worth $150,000, increased Om's career earnings to $274,500, with three wins in seven starts for trainer Dan Hendricks.
Om previously was best known as the horse that won a race last summer in which American Pharoah made his career debut and finished fifth.
Triple Crown champion American Pharoah was paraded after the fourth race, entering the track to ''New York, New York,'' one of owner Ahmed Zayat's favorite songs. A video highlighting the colt's career so far was played. He was led from the barn to the paddock by assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes, his groom and exercise rider and trainer Bob Baffert's young son, Bode. He made three laps around before taking to the track.
In the $200,000 Yellow Ribbon Handicap for older fillies and mares, She's Not Here outlasted Prize Exhibit in the stretch to win by a half-length.
Ridden by Hall of Famer Mike Smith, She's Not Here ran 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:41.66 and paid $14.80, $7.20 and $5.40.
Prize Exhibit returned $5 and $3.20 as the 3-1 favorite. Lady Pimpernel was another length back in third and returned $4.40 to show in the Grade 2 race.
The victory, worth $120,000, increased She's Not Here's career earnings to $276,569, with five wins in 16 starts.
Uzziel won the $84,750 C.E.R.F. Stakes for older fillies and mares by 4 1/4 lengths over Ben's Duchess.
Ridden by Kent Desormeaux and trained his brother Keith, Uzziel ran six furlongs in 1:09.08 and paid $17.80, $6.60 and $4.80.
Ben's Duchess returned $3.80 and $3.20 as the 2-1 second choice, while Amaranth was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $6.60 to show. Baruta, the 8-5 favorite, finished sixth.
The victory, worth $50,400, increased Uzziel's career earnings to $317,488, with five wins in 18 starts.
