ARLINGTON, Texas – Texas prospect Mike Olt, who has been sidelined by eye issues since late April, is slated to return from the minor league disabled list Friday night and play for Double-A Frisco.

Olt has spent the week in Surprise and has played in extended spring training games.

Olt hasn't played in an actual game since April 25. He was put on the disabled list May 8 with vision issues while playing with Round Rock. He saw several specialists and was put on medication for his eyes.

Olt was hitting just .139 in 72 at-bats before he was shut down by the Express.

In addition to Olt, Friday's Frisco game will also feature Alexi Ogando making a rehab start. Ogando is slated to throw five innings or approximately 75 pitches. If there are no issues in his start or his bullpen this weekend, he'll likely be activated from the disabled list next week.

Ogando went on the DL with biceps tendinitis.
