Ole Miss' Bryant draws season's first ejection

We have our first ejection of the season as Ole Miss' Serderius Bryant was flagged for targeting.
The linebacker hit Boise State quarterback Grant Hendrick after he connected with Matt Miller for a 22-yard gain during the first quarter of Thursday's Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in the Georgia Dome, drawing a personal foul and an automatic ejection.
For Bryant, a senior, his final season opener as a Rebel lasted all of seven minutes, 35 seconds.
A second-team All-SEC pick a year ago, Bryant was Ole Miss' leading tackler with 78 stops, including 12 1/2 for loss with three sacks.
His junior season included a scary injury as he laid motionless on the field for several minutes after his head and neck hit at an awkward angle while colliding with Johnny Manizel's midsection during a tackle. He eventually gave a thumps-up sign to the crowd while being carted off.
