Ohio State forward LaQuinton Ross has been chosen the Big Ten Men's Basketball Player of the Week after helping the Buckeyes pick up a pair of wins in the last seven days.

Ross, a junior Jackson, Miss., averaged 21.5 points and six rebounds per game as Ohio State beat Maryland and Central Connecticut State.

Twenty of those points came against the Terrapins in a nationally televised game that was part of the annual Big Ten/ACC Shootout. He hit four three-pointers against the future Big Ten members.

He had 23 points against Central Connecticut State and is the first Big Ten Player of the Week from Ohio State this season.

In addition to Ross' honor, the Big Ten announced Indiana's Noa Vonleh was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.
