Ohio State RB Bri'onte Dunn facing charges

Bri'onte Dunn, a freshman running back at Ohio State, has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a newspaper confirmed Monday.
According to a police report obtained by the Canton Repository, Dunn, 19, was stopped in Alliance, Ohio, on Saturday after the car he was driving nearly went through a blinking red light, went over a crosswalk and stopped short of striking a patrol car.
After police stopped Dunn, the driver and passenger were
found with a wooden pipe and less
than 200 grams of marijuana in the front seat, according to the police report. Police said they also found a small amount of pot in the
driver’s door pocket, the newspaper reported.
Police charged Dunn with possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia, not wearing a seat belt and a tail-light violation, all misdemeanors.
Dunn's passenger, an 18-year-old female, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia and not wearing a seat belt.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer was unavailable for comment. Athletic department officials said they are investigating the situation.
Meyer, however, has already demonstrated he uses a firm hand in dealing with off-field problems. The first-year coach suspended and took away the summer scholarships of offensive lineman Jack Mewhort and tight end Jake Stoneburner after they were charged with obstruction. Linebacker Storm Klein was cut after he was charged with domestic violence.
Dunn was one of Ohio State's top running back candidates after he rushed for nearly 4,000 yards in his final two years at GlenOak High School in North Canton, Ohio.
