ARLINGTON, Texas – Right-handed starter Alexi Ogando looks close to returning to the active roster after an impressive rehab stint Friday night at AA Frisco.

Ogando threw 60 pitches in six innings and allowed two unearned runs on four hits. Ogando struck out four and walked none. The runs he allowed came on a home run after an error extended the sixth inning.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said Ogando had no complications after his outing and looks ready to rejoin the rotation.

"If you go on what he did last night, he's ready to go," Washington said.

Ogando was placed on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis on May 16.

He is eligible to come off the DL, but the Rangers won't make a decision until after Ogando throws a bullpen session on Sunday.
