Oakland stops Austin Peay 78-70 in OT

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (AP) -- Keith Benson's double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds led Oakland, Mich., to a 78-70 overtime victory over Austin Peay on Saturday in the Chicago Invitational Challenge.
Will Hudson added 21 points and Reggie Hamilton 20 for the Golden Grizzlies (3-3), who trailed by 11 in the second half but forced overtime on Hamilton's 3-pointer with 3 seconds left.
Oakland pushed ahead 72-20 with 2:08 to go and held the Governors scoreless from there while getting a basket from Hamilton and four free throws from Benson, who also had seven assists and six blocked shots.
Tyshawn Edmondson hit 25 points for the Governors (3-4). Anthony Campbell added 13 and Melvin Baker 10.
After Hamilton opened the game with back-to-back 3-pointers, Oakland did not lead again until Benson converted a fast-break layup for a 58-57 edge with 3:27 left in the second half.
Oakland had a 48-37 rebounding advantage.
