No debating Malik Jackson's impact

On Monday morning, Malik Jackson and Chris Walker were letting each other have it.
 
Jackson said his third-quarter interception against Memphis would have gone for a touchdown if Walker had blocked for him. Meanwhile, Walker was busy explaining that Jackson's not nearly as fast as he thinks he is.
 
"There was a receiver who was 15 yards down the field that came and caught him, so he wasn't as fast as he thought he was," Walker said, grinning. "I told him, if he thinks he's faster than me, I wouldn't have gotten caught by the quarterback."
 
That's open for debate.
 
What no one's arguing about, though, is Jackson's impact on the defensive line. The Southern California transfer has come up big for Tennessee - even if he's an undersized defensive tackle.
 
"Malik's been just a tremendous boost for us inside," UT coach Derek Dooley said. "We need more of him. He was very disruptive in the game. He got two tackles for loss, a couple of sacks, a lot of tackles and an interception. So I hope he can keep playing that way."
