At Grand Forks, N.D., No. 7 North Dakota was too much for the Wisconsin men's hockey squad Saturday, dealing the Badgers a 4-1 setback.
Wisconsin star Mark Zengerle tallied a goal for the No. 19 Badgers, but the visitors could mount little offense from there on out. With the loss, Wisconsin dropped to 11-9-6 overall and 8-6-6 in WCHA action.
An early power-play goal set the tone for North Dakota (14-8-6, 9-5-6 WCHA). All told, Wisconsin faced eight power plays Saturday and yielded two goals. Conversely, Wisconsin went 0-for-5 with the man advantage.
North Dakota's Mark MacMillan scored just 45 seconds into the game and Wisconsin never recovered.
