MADISON, Wis. -- Second-ranked North Dakota scored three third-period goals to finish off a weekend sweep of the Wisconsin men's hockey squad on Saturday, winning 5-1 in front of 13,621 fans at the Kohl Center.

Wisconsin had knotted things at 1-all at 6:16 of the second period, when Grant Besse tallied his first goal of the season.

Alas, North Dakota (7-1-1 overall) was too strong for Wisconsin as the night wore on.

North Dakota took the lead at 9:49 of the second stanza, when Drake Caggiula lit the lamp, and the visiting squad never looked back from there.
