MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -- Stephen Madison scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Idaho to a 73-67 win over New Mexico State on Thursday night.

Trailing by five points in the second half, Idaho (9-14, 3-6 Western Athletic Conference) took control with a 14-3 run capped by a Connor Hill 3-pointer that made it 64-58 with 5:32, and the Vandals held on down the stretch.

Sekou Wiggs contributed 16 points, Mike Scott added 11 and Hill had 10 for Idaho, which shot 26 of 63 from the field to avenge last month's loss to New Mexico State.

The Aggies (17-8, 6-3) shot 48 percent overall and led most of the game, but they couldn't hold off the Vandals in the second half.
