It was only a matter of time before the stadium beer man’s job was made more efficient. The days of the overweight, middle-aged man yelling out, “Beer here!” with 40-pound coolers attached to his back appear to be on the way out. Well, maybe. The San Francisco 49ers new stadium (nicknamed the “Field of Jeans” because of Levi’s) plans to feature an app that will give fans live updates on beer and bathroom lines, according to a Yahoo! Sports report. To which we say, “God bless America.” The stadium is working on a beer delivery system which would give fans the ability to pick and choose their beverage of choice and have it brought to them in their seat. Is tip included? We doubt it. Also, the app will allow fans to watch replays of the game action from multiple angles and also has the capability to stream NFL RedZone via the stadium’s built-in WiFi.
