Now, this is what we call change. The NFL, sick and tired of its shameful Pro Bowl product, has made sweeping changes. The NFC vs. AFC format that has existed since 1971. That's out the door. Now, we got something new thanks to NFLPA president Domonique Foxworth.

The other champion can compete for a Pro Bowl role by playing at NFL.com/fantasy.The fantasy football champions will have Hall of Fame help. Pro Football Hall of Famers JERRY RICE and DEION SANDERS will serve as alumni team captains, assisting the Pro Bowl team captains and fantasy football champions in the draft process." Holy crap. Where do we begin? First of all, you have to give the NFL credit for realizing that the old Pro Bowl wasn't working and for throwing caution to the wind. This is a serious change. We also REALLY like the teams being chosen playground-style. What's more, I can see the NFL making an event out of the picking of the teams. Picture this: A four-hour program on NFL Network that will probably make us want to pull out our hair, but somehow we'll all watch anyway. We here at Laces Out salute this new move.
