The Minnesota House of Representatives has passed a bill that will allow beer sales at future University of Minnesota football games.

The Senate passed the bill earlier this week, as first noted in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The omnibus liquor bill passed by a vote of 107-16.

The long-debated bill is the result of years of negotiations between the university and the Legislature. Previously, university officials had hoped to confine liquor sales to TCF Bank Stadium's luxury suites, but now all fans will have access to beer.
