The Dallas Cowboys have finished 8-8 in each of the last three seasons, so it makes sense that oddsmakers wouldn't favor them in more than eight games in 2014.
There's a long way to go and a lot can change between now and September 7, but here's a little something to feed your off-season NFL appetite.
According to Nevada oddsmaking firm CG Technology, the Cowboys are currently favored at Tennessee (-2.5), vs. Houston (-4.5), vs. the Giants (-3.5), vs. Washington (-4.5), vs. Arizona (-3.5), at Jacksonville (-10), vs. Philadelphia (-1.5) and vs. Indianapolis (-2.5).
Of their other eight games, the Cowboys are only listed as the underdog in five. There were no lines listed for any Week 17 games and a favorite was not determined for Week 3 in St. Louis, Week 4 vs. New Orleans and Week 5 vs. Houston.
Dallas is currently viewed as the underdog vs. San Francisco (+3.5), at Seattle (+7.5), at Chicago (+4.5), at the Giants (+2.5) and at Philadelphia (+3). The games against the 49ers and Seahawks are in the first six weeks while the road games in New Jersey, Chicago and Philly come in Weeks 12-15.
