Nenad Lalovic will run unopposed for re-election as president of wrestling's world governing body.

FILA says Thursday that Lalovic, a 55-year-old Serb, is the only candidate for a six-year term to lead the federation through the next two Olympics.

Lalovic took over at FILA after wrestling was dropped as a core sport by the IOC executive board in February 2013, replacing Raphael Martinetti. He led wrestling's successful campaign to win back its place on the Olympic program for 2020 and 2024.

The election will be held Sept. 7 at the FILA congress in Tashkent, Uzebekistan.
