NC Central downs Old Dominion in OT 76-69

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Alfonzo Houston scored 16 points and North Carolina Central limited Old Dominion to six points in overtime for a 76-69 win Tuesday evening.

The Eagles (6-1) used a balanced attack, putting four players in double figures. Kamaro Jawara, Jeremy Ingram and Jordan Parks all chipped in with 14 points apiece.

Old Dominion (4-4) was paced by Dimitri Batten, who scored 25 points on 11 of 19 shooting, and pulled down 10 boards.

Central built a 13-point halftime lead before the Monarchs came storming back in the second half. They used a 13-4 run -- including nine by Batten -- to cut the deficit to one with 7:14 left. Batten's layup with 1:35 tied the game at 63 and sent it to OT.

Five different players scored in overtime for the Eagles, highlighted by Parks' emphatic dunk with 16 seconds remaining.
