FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Priscilla Brooks, a 5-foot-10 forward from JW North High School in Riverside, Calif., has committed to play for the NAU women’s basketball team, head coach Sue Darling announced Thursday.

“Priscilla is a winner,” Darling said.  “She comes from a winning program, and she is a player that does whatever it takes to help her team to win, whether it’s scoring, rebounding, passing, or defending.”

Brooks was a key piece of a JW North Huskies team that sported a 24-8 overall record and reached the quarterfinal round of the CIF Division-II State Championships in March.  The previous year, Brooks led her team to 31 wins and the CIF championship game.

Brooks averaged 18.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a senior, both of which were team highs, in addition to carrying a shooting percentage of 56 percent.

“Her contributions to our program will start immediately,” Darling said.
