NAU volleyball hosts Idaho on FOX Sports Arizona Plus

Northern Arizona volleyball returns home and to FOX Sports Arizona Plus on Thursday with a 7 p.m. match at Rolle Activity Center against Big Sky opponent Idaho.
The Lumberjacks are 11-4 overall and 1-1 in Big Sky competition after splitting two conference road matches last week. Idaho is 4-10 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky after knocking off defending conference champion Northern Colorado last week.
"I think for the first time this season, we're facing some adversity, and right now our team is responding well to it," NAU coach Ken Murphy said. "We're looking forward to Thursday, playing at home, and it's a chance to improve on last weekend's performances. We're challenging ourselves to get through this little bit of adversity."
NAU leads the Big Sky in hitting percentage (.266). Senior Janae Vander Ploeg leads the conference in kills with 4.50 per set, junior Jensen Barton is fourth in assists with 9.80 per set, and Payton Bock ranks fifth nationally with 79 total blocks.
Vander Ploeg has 1,324 kills in her career and needs 25 more to tie Ellie Butterfield for third most in school history. Bock needs 18 more blocks to match Lisa Wylie's school record of 473.
