FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Northern Arizona spring football game, which had been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, was postponed to Sunday due to inclement weather in Flagstaff.

The Blue-Gold Spring Game was scheduled to be aired live on FOX Sports Arizona.

"Unfortunately, due to the combination of the weather and field conditions, we have decided to postpone the spring game," said NAU coach Jerome Souers. "We are a mentally tough football program, but in this scenario we feel it's important to not only think about the safety of the players but to also think about the long-term effects to the turf of Lumberjack Stadium. Our plan is to postpone the scrimmage until tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 2 p.m. on our normal practice facility. We encourage everyone to come out and support the Lumberjacks tomorrow."

Sunday's game will not be televised.
