FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Coming off a huge win over then-No. 2 Eastern Washington last week, Northern Arizona looks for its second straight road win on Saturday when it travels to Weber State.
Kickoff at Stewart Stadium is set for noon.
The Lumberjacks (5-3, 3-1 Big Sky) picked up a monumental 28-27 come-from-behind win over Eastern Washington at home last week. The victory snapped a 14-game Big Sky win streak for the Eagles, as it was their first loss to an FCS team this season.
NAU is averaging 27.6 points per game and is 2-3 on the road this season. Junior running back Casey Jahn has a team-best 632 rushing yards, including a pair of 100-plus yard rushing games. Jahn ranks fourth in the Big Sky in all-purpose yards with an average of 109.1.
Senior Ify Umodu is the top wide receiver for NAU with 452 yards on 29 catches with three touchdowns. For the defense, senior linebacker Austin Hasquet has a team-high 72 tackles and ranks 10th in the league in the category.
Junior cornerback Marcus Alford is one of five players in the nation this season to return a punt for a touchdown. He also ranks first in the league in passes defended. NAU ranks second in the Big Sky in passing defense, and third in scoring defense and total defense.
Weber State coach Jay Hill is in his first season with the Wildcats (0-8, 0-4). Weber State's last win was Nov. 23, 2013 at home in a 32-7 defeat over Idaho State. WSU is 0-3 at home this season, and 2-6 in Ogden in the past two seasons.
Weber State has fumbled the ball 14 times this season compared to three by its opposition. The Wildcats have struggled on fourth down conversions this season going 7-for-17.
WSU is a predominantly passing team. Billy Green has completed 177 of 292 passes with seven interceptions. Green's top target is Shaydon Kehano, who has 65 receptions to rank second in the nation. He has a total of 736 yards. The Wildcats have rushed the ball 132 times less than their opponents.
