IRVING – Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray gave a little inside information Monday about his 48-yard run during the third quarter of the season opener.

After watching the replay, Murray says he could've scored.

The play, which started at the Cowboys 27, included Murray running into a Giants defender, reversing field, reversing field a second time, running into Lawrence Vickers and finally bursting down the visiting sideline. Murray ended the run by lowering his head into Giants safety Antrel Rolle at the New York 25-yard-line.

However, if Murray could do the play over, he wouldn't have lowered the boom on Rolle.

"Looking at the film, I could have probably walked into the end zone," Murray said. "I definitely made a mistake but I just thought they were so far in front of me that I wasn't going to be able to outrun them.

"But things happen and hopefully it doesn't happen again."

Was Murray a little winded at that point?

"You could say that," he responded. "I made a few moves in the backfield. It was a long run."
