Move Over Superbowl: National TITLE STIRRING prop fever

Published Jan. 7, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

Prop fever is synonymous with the Superbowl. Everything from the coin toss, first penalty, and length of national anthem are made available for your wagering pleasure. One sportsbook here in Las Vegas is using the mass fanfare created by the Alabama vs Notre Dame national championship to to take things to the next level, offering 150 props to get bettors with every inclination involved in the excitment. This year's championship game is surpassing all expectations as far as betting volumes are concerned. When the main course creates fanfare, props serve as the tasty side dish to supplement the well balanced betting diet.

The talented linesmaking team over at the Golden Nugget anchored by Tony Miler and Aaron Kessler opted to go over the top and provide extensive props for this year's game.  Known as the first book in town to post game of the year lines for the college football season, the small downtown resort continues to make a name for itself among college football bettors. For those that don't feel comfortable betting into the traditional side or total (Alabama -9.5 and 40.5), find something that gets the gambling juices flowing from this extensive menu. Afterall, this is our last college football game of the season and everyone should be in action.  Although every wagering option they're offering isn't included below, this sampling will give you plenty of food for thought as you head to the local watering hole to take in the action. Bottom's Up!

Not included in this list are the copious options for margin of victory, total points scored by each team, exact number of TD passes, and possibe scoring plays.  It just goes to show If you can't find a way to get a little action fix in the biggest college football game in recent memory, you're just not trying hard enough.
