His numbers have slipped dramatically since he was claimed on waivers by the Titans, but Randy Moss likes it there -- and he'd like to stay. It's owner Bud Adams' call.
With so much uncertainty surrounding the Tennessee Titans, it�s good to know that wide receiver Randy Moss likes it there. And he likes it enough to want to come back in 2011.
According to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, although Moss has experienced a severe drop in production since joining the Titans on Nov. 3, he�s not mad or discouraged or looking for the nearest Nashville exit.
�
�Next year, hopefully, if the opportunity presents itself for me to be here, I would love to,� Moss said. �I like the city and I like the people. There�s a lot of history here and football is one of the many things they have going on around here in this city and I am a country boy in a country city. I love it. I can�t speak enough about the city and the fans.�
Moss has just five receptions in six games since being claimed on waivers and didn�t catch a pass in either of the past two games. Normally, a player of his stature would have complained loudly, but Moss has been noticeably quiet.
He�ll be a free agent at the end of the season and would clearly prefer to stay than hit the road again. Tennessee is his third stop since last season.
�At 33 I am still running with the 20-year-olds,� he said. �It might take me a little longer to warm up, but other than that I still have fun with the guys. I still can compete and I still can get open. The bad thing about me being so old at 33 is I still have a lot of football left to be played. So we�ll see what the future holds.�
At the moment, the future remains largely unknown in Tennessee. Team owner Bud Adams may have to make a key decision regarding head coach Jeff Fisher and quarterback Vince Young, who can�t continue to live under the same roof. The Titans (6-8) ended a six-game losing streak last Sunday, and Adams has said he will evaluate Fisher in the offseason. It�s possible he could opt to keep Young and jettison Fisher, the league�s longest-tenured head coach.
