MINNEAPOLIS -- Maya Moore scored 21 points, the 10th straight game the All-Star MVP has had at least 20 points, and grabbed 10 rebounds to help the fast-starting Minnesota Lynx cruise to an 86-70 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.
Moore had seven points in the first quarter -- when Damiris Dantas was the only Atlanta starter to score with six -- and the Lynx (14-4) scored the last 11 points to race to a 26-9 lead. The Dream (7-12) made a surge at the start of each quarter but never got within single digits.
Lindsay Whalen added 15 points for Minnesota, which improved to 7-1 when scoring 80 points while Atlanta fell to 0-9 when giving up 80.
Tiffany Hayes was the only player to reach double figures with 15 points for the Dream, which had 20 turnovers the Lynx turned into 23 points.
