Orlando City 0 -- Vancouver Whitecaps 1

Octavio Rivero pounced in the 96th minute to send Orlando City crashing to its first MLS defeat. The match looked destined for a scoreless stalemate until Pedro Morales provided a tempting ball to the near post deep in second-half stoppage time. Rivero flung himself toward the service and turned home past Donovan Ricketts to decide the affair and secure his third goal in as many games.

Philadelphia Union 0 -- FC Dallas 2

Tesho Akindele and Ryan Hollingshead struck after the interval to keep FCD unbeaten. Zach Pfeffer reduced the home side to 10 men after catching Mauro Diaz in the head with his elbow. FCD took full advantage after the break as Akindele seized on a poor clearance to stroke home the opener. Hollingshead doubled the advantage just before the hour to guarantee FCD a third win in three attempts.

LA Galaxy 1 -- Houston Dynamo 1

The visitors survived a third-minute goal from Robbie Keane to procure a point at StubHub Center. Keane gave the Galaxy the perfect start, but the visitors responded through Nathan Sturgis – included as part of a midfield triangle – to snatch a share of the spoils.

Sporting Kansas City 0 -- Portland Timbers 0

Both teams settled for a share of the spoils at Sporting Park. Sporting created more opportunities over the course of 90 minutes, but the home side couldn’t figure out a way through the Timbers defense. The final whistle left the Timbers with a third draw in as many outings and permitted Sporting to rebound from the defeat at FC Dallas last weekend.

New England Revolution 0 -- Montréal Impact 0

Montréal navigated through the final half-hour with 10 men to claim a point at Gillette Stadium. The visitors suffered an early blow when Cameron Porter sustained an apparent knee ligament injury in the early stages and then watched Hassoun Camara procure his second booking just after the hour. The determined visitors overcame those setbacks to see out the affair and snatch a point.

Colorado Rapids 0 -- New York City FC 0

NYCFC continued its unbeaten start by holding on for a point in Commerce City. Dillon Powers presented the most persistent threat for the home side, but the Rapids failed to score the goal required to end their 16-match winless streak.
