The Missouri men's basketball team announced Wednesday the addition of 6-foot-11, 260-pound big man Keanau Post of Southwestern Illinois College.
Post, a Junior College All-American, committed to Mizzou in January and will be eligible to play for the Tigers this upcoming season. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
“We are excited to be adding Keanau to the program,” Missouri coach Frank Haith said in a release. “Obviously he fills a big need for us inside and gives us depth at the center position. There’s no question that Keanau’s best basketball is ahead of him. He has really matured as a player over the last few seasons and he has the potential to be a significant contributor as his career progresses. I am really excited about his potential here at Mizzou.”
Post averaged 12.3 points and 8.3 rebounds in his sophomore season.
